Gone are the days of band posters and Bop Magazine pictures hanging on a teenagers wall. Pottery Barn just opened a new affiliate store, PBteen in Lincoln Park. Like its parent store, you can expect innovative and functional pieces that save space while still looking, well, cool. Take for instance a lamp that that doubles as an iPod docking station, complete with speakers. And for those who love to loaf, the iChair (see photo) is a sign of the times. We know, it makes your “boom box” seem like an antique.
Until recently, you could only buy PBteen items online or through a catalog, but now three locations in the United States; Chicago joined Atlanta and New York City, right in the heart of Lincoln Park. And just another fact to prove that kids are growing up even faster these days (aside from the fact that they can navigate a computer better and speak a foreign language by the age of 6), PBteen targets the age range of 10-18.
