The annual World Sport Chicago Wrestling Festival, the largest all-ages wrestling tournament in Chicago, returns to Navy Pier on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Taking place in Festival Hall B, the Fest offers an opportunity for everyone—from first-year wrestlers and seasoned veterans—to have a fun and challenging experience. There are three divisions: youth, high school, and senior for both the free-style and folk-style tournaments, all of which are held in a four person, locked weight, and round robin format. There are three 90 second periods.
The event is sponsored by Worlds Sport Chicago, a nonprofit organization devoted to teaching youth in at-risk communities sports like archery, track and field, and wrestling, to name a few.
Tournament entry is limited to 700 registrations and participants must have a valid 2012/13 USA Wrestling Competitors card. Admission is free and open to the public for spectators.
