During the month of February, you can help others by simply dining out.
Kinzie Chophouse – recently named one of concierges’ favorite 50 restaurants – and a local charity have teamed up to offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a four-course, prix fixe menu with 50 percent of the proceeds benefiting One for the Kids.
Established in 1993, One for the Kids has raised over $500,000 for various children’s charities in the Chicagoland area, including Special Children’s Charities of Chicago, Benton Community Settlement, and The Heart Institute for Children at Hope Children’s Hospital.
Available Feb. 1 through Feb. 28*, guests may enjoy the four-course menu for $95 ($150 with wine tastings). Menu items include:
First Course:
Beet & Goat Cheese Salad
Tender gold and red beets stacked with goat cheese and topped with arugula and a garlic thyme vinaigrette
Second Course:
Winter Chowder
A creamy, hearty blend of roasted corn, bacon, and diced tomato topped with smoked gouda cheese
Third Course (choice of):
Pork Tenderloin Scallopini
Served with apple risotto and steamed asparagus topped with a gorgonzola cream sauce
Customized 10-oz New York Strip
With your choice of crusts or toppings served with a Brussels sprout, bacon and red onion hash
Prosciutto, Spinach & Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast
Served with Rosemary mashed potatoes in a tomato-basil cream sauce
Dessert (choice of):
Pistachio Semifreddo or Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie a la mode
