Join City Winery this Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. for an exclusive evening of glass-focused wine tasting and education with Maximilian Riedel. Each guest will go home with three elegant, beautiful Riedel glasses.
The event’s featured guest speaker Maximilian Riedel, is the 11th generation family member and co-owner of Riedel Crystal. With more than 250 years of glassmaking history, Riedel Crystal was the first company to introduce grape varietal-specific glassware.
In 2001, Maximilian created his first line of glassware – the Riedel Restaurant line – and in 2004 he introduced the successful and sometimes-controversial, Riedel “O” line, a stem-less glass series. Maximilian also created the Cornetto decanter. At 27, Maximilian Riedel is the youngest wine professional to be featured on the cover of Wine Enthusiast for his proprietary designs and business savvy.
Maximilian Riedel hosts only major tasting seminars to demonstrate that the right wine glass does make a difference in the aroma, taste and perception of a wine. Featuring three pieces of stemware from the Vinum XL series, Maximilian will guide each guest through an entertaining and informative, delicious seminar. Each glass is paired with a well-known cult or reserve wine.
