Launched in 2007, Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago is the next generation of luxury hospitality, raising the bar in customized service and top-tier travel experience. As of July 29th, 2010, Trump Tower Chicago welcomed Rachael Lowe to its team as the director of wine and spirits. Ms. Lowe holds an advanced sommelier degree from the Court of Master Sommeliers, where she was rewarded the Rudd Scholarship for top scores on the Advanced Exam, and brings more than seven years of experience and an impressive educational background to the position. As director of wine and spirits, Ms. Lowe will oversee all wine management for the Tower’s luxury hotel, which includes all catering and in-room dining requests, Rebar – a chic sushi lounge, the outdoor Terrace at Trump, and the Tower’s lavish Sixteen Restaurant. Even with a wine cellar featuring more than 700 labels, Ms. Lowe plans on introducing more vintages to Sixteen’s wine menu, from up-and-coming wineries to old-world favorites. Her passion for helping diners expand their wine palates has inspired her to enhance Sixteen’s wine programming with unique wine-and-food pairing events, winemaker dinners and increased wine-by-the-glass selections. Her first winemaker dinner is scheduled for October 2010 with a focus on Ruinart wines, undoubtedly an inspiration from Ms. Lowe’s receiving the top prize at the Ruinart Chardonnay competition earlier this year.
