Dine Out for a Great Cause

Posted on September 26th, 2011 by

A courageous spirit and mother of two young children, Lynn Sage was diagnosed with breast cancer at the early age of 34, leaving behind her family and friends at the age of 39. Since then, Lynn’s daughters and their friends have been funding breast cancer research in her honor. Dedicated to finding a cure, the Lynn Sage Foundation is proud to announce its fourth annual “Chicago’s In Good Taste” campaign.

For the entire month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, Chicago’s In Good Taste engages over 100 of Chicago’s favorite restaurants and bars to raise research funds to support the Lynn Sage Scholars at Northwestern University. Present and pass scholars include Dr. Chonghi Chen, Dr. Jacqueline Jeruss and Dr. Virginia Kaklamani.

When dining at participating restaurants patrons are asked to add a dollar or more to their bill. Other unique ways local establishments have helped the cause include giving customers the opportunity to purchase pink bows stickers, pins and specialty drinks. Chicago’s In Good Taste allows restaurant patrons a simple, fun and hassle-free way to support breast cancer research while enjoying some of the city’s best restaurants and businesses. And, the campaign should cost participating restaurants nothing.  All supplies are provided by the Lynn Sage Foundation.

This year’s participants include: The Four Seasons Hotel, Corcoran’s Bar & Grill, Gibson’s Group, N9NE Steakhouse, Park Grill Chicago, the Redhead Piano Bar and Rock Bottom among many others. One hundred percent of the funds raised throughout the month of October will go directly to breast cancer research by Lynn Sage Scholars, doctors dedicated to breast cancer research at Northwestern University.
