Willy Wonka lovers remain calm. There will be no wacky chocolate factory tours, no rushing cocoa rivers nor any glass elevator rides. There will, however, be Bon Bon Creams, Coconut Crescents, and Heavenly Hash once again! mavrakos

Dormant for 25 years, the recipes of Historic St. Louis chocolatier, Mavrakos, have been resurrected by the St. Louis-based Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company. Mavrakos Candy Co. was started in 1913 by John Mavrakos, a Greek immigrant who brought his family’s treasured candy recipe to St. Louis. Over the course of 70 years, Mavrakos’ sweets won over the hearts and taste buds of St. Louisans and even the U.S. Military during WWII, becoming the exclusive chocolate provider to the servicemen overseas.

Today, chocolate lovers can satisfy their sweet-tooth at Mavrakos’ Online Store, all nine locations of The Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company or all Dierberg’s locations throughout the St. Louis area.

Check out Mavrakos on Twitter or follow their blog to find out about new or seasonal items and special offers.
